HydraFacial and chemical peels are two of the most requested skin treatments, and they are often confused. They do different jobs.
HydraFacial in short
A 45-minute treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates. There is no downtime, the glow is visible the same day, and it suits almost every skin type. It is ideal before weddings and events and as monthly maintenance.
Chemical peel in short
A graded acid solution removes dull surface skin and works deeper on acne, marks, open pores and uneven tone. Light peels cause little visible peeling; medium peels may flake for a few days. The peel type and strength are chosen after assessing your skin.
Which one should you choose?
- Event in a few days: HydraFacial.
- Acne and clogged pores: salicylic peel series.
- Marks and tanning: peels plus sunscreen, with HydraFacial between sessions.
- Sensitive skin: start with HydraFacial; peels only after assessment.
Combining them
Many plans alternate the two — a peel every few weeks to work on marks and texture, with HydraFacial sessions in between for hydration and glow.
